After Intensive Therapy with Joel Korte (Episode 84)
Download | Duration: 00:57:00
Joel Korte joins Eric Jackson and Peter Reitzes to talk about his experience after intensive speech therapy and much more. Joel is featured in the StutterTalk videos below.

Great show. Joel looks and sounds so confident. Peter, you weren't seen at all - we knew you were there though, the voice. I liked Eric's hat. Cool!
Hey, and I noticed that Greg's picture is not up on top - that it just lists Eric and Peter and friends. Did Greg do something wrong to get kicked off the show?

Do you mean covert stutterers? Not to sure who you are referring to.
Also, if you want to hear us talk about something, provide some suggestions for topics.

>I think what he/she means is that you all pretend to not be stutterers. In my opinion, if you are a person who stutters you should NOT hide that you stutter. Do not try to be fluent. You are not being you then. If you are "curing" yourself from stuttering (or "improving" your fluency), then you have absolutely no business running a stuttering website!! It's NON sensical. Stutter openly. Stop pretending. You make it harder for people that stutter to be taken seriously by the regular world (non-stutterers think that stuttering is something to be 'taken control of' because of you fakers).
You seem angry. We will talk about your post on air.

Hey Pam,
Yeah, I am often the guy holding the camera!
Joel is a great guest. Actually, we have him on for next week’s show as well and for some future stuff. As far as Eric’s hat goes, do you have to feed his ego?
Greg decided to move on so he will no longer be part of the StutterTalk team. We wish him the very best. He is a really smart dude and we know that he has a ton of great stuttering stuff yet to come.
Take care,
Peter

I have stuttered sense I was a child, I am now 28 years old and have a question for you.
When I drink Alcohol/Beer I tend to get more fluent with my speech. Have you noticed this when you drink?

Jordan,
Thanks for writing. I think many people who stutter have noticed that their speech may become easier when consuming alcohol - although we are not recommending that as a therapy option
It seems possible that alcohol consumption may effect the brain in similar ways as some of the pharmaceutical options do such as influencing dopamine or GABA neurotransmitters in the brain.
