Lee Caggiano, MA CCC-SLP joins Peter Reitzes and Eric Jackson to discuss acceptance.

During this episode Lee is asked to discuss acceptance from the viewpoint of the mother of a person who stutters and from her experience as a speech-language pathologist and director of a stuttering self-help organization. Lee is a Board Recognized Fluency Specialist and Mentor in Fluency Disorders, Director of the Stuttering Therapy and Resource Center of Long Island, is the co-founder and director of FRIENDS: The Association for Young People Who Stutter and an adjunct professor at New York University, Queens College and Long Island University.
During this episode we discussed the essay titled Welcome to Holland by Emily Pearl Kingsley. We also discussed Living with Change: The Semantics of Coping by Wendell Johnson and Dorothy Moeller, the book titled Stuttering by C. Woodruff Starkweather and Janet Givens-Ackerman  and Counseling Persons with Communication Disorders and Their Families by David M. Luterman.
