Phil Schneider, Ed.D. CCC-SLP joins Peter Reitzes to discuss his new film Going with the Flow: A Guide to Transcending Stuttering.


PHIL SCHNEIDER is recognized as a master clinician and teacher, has been practicing and teaching for over 30 year and holds the title of Professor Emeritus of Communication Disorders at Queens College. In 2004 Phil was named the Speech Pathologist of the Year by the National Stuttering Association and is a StutterTalk Board member and advisor. Dr. Schneider wrote and directed Transcending Stuttering: The Inside Story and just released, with his son Uri Schneider, the film Going with the Flow: A Guide to Transcending Stuttering which is StutterTalk’s Resource of the Month for December, 2010 (see below).

Going with the Flow: A Guide to Transcending Stuttering

Going with the Flow, the wonderful new DVD by Phil and Uri Schneider, allows the viewer to look in through the therapy window to witness the process of change in two people who stutter. Included on the DVD is a short, digestible lecture by Dr. Phil Schneider which discusses the therapy approach shown in the documentary. Many people talk about how to do speech therapy - Going with the Flow offers viewers a front row seat to watch a seasoned therapist guide clients in the pursuit of acceptance and speaking with more control.
