Sara MacIntyre joins Peter Reitzes to discuss her experience as a former covert stutterer. This is the second episode in a series focusing on people who stutter who have been able to pass as fluent. Sara discusses how she went from passing as a fluent speaker to stuttering openly. As Ms. MacIntyre explains during the show, she made the decision to stop living a secret life.
SARA MACINTYRE is a person who stutters and is currently a post- baccalaureate student in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Pittsburgh. Sara plans to begin graduate school in Speech-Language Pathology this fall. Ms. MacIntyre earned her Bachelor degree in Finance from Lehigh University in 2009 and worked in Washington D.C. for an investment consulting firm after graduation. She is an active member of her National Stuttering Association chapter in Pittsburgh.

Marc Winski joins regular co-host Eric Jackson and B-Team c0-host Joel Korte to discuss his experience being an actor who stutters, stuttering on auditions, using speech “tools” on stage, and how to use stuttering to get noticed. The guys also talk about Pagaclone, and Marc shares his own experience taking the drug.
MARC WINSKI is currently performing the role of Doody in the national touring production of GREASE. He is a recent graduate of Indiana University, where he obtained a Bachelors degree in the field of musical theatre. Originally from Lafayette, IN, Marc presently resides on a tour bus/in hotels all over the country. Some of his favorite credits are West Side Story (Riff), Altar Boyz (Matthew), and Oklahoma (Will Parker). Marc is a proud owner of a stutter, and has been blessed to be a part of a stuttering intensive program at the American Institute for Stuttering. He loves talking with others about their stuttering experiences and being part of the stuttering community.

KATHERINE PRESTON graduated from university, worked in asset management in London and left her job in 2008 to move to America and write a book on stuttering. She spent a year travelling around America interviewing stutterers, SLPs and researchers and is now finishing the book and working as a freelance writer in Brooklyn, NY. JEREMY COHEN is a former beer vendor and street peddler from Chicago, IL. He has been working on his speech for the past four years and uses costal breathing to speak everyday. He is currently starting a business in Brooklyn, NY.

Peter Reitzes joins Joel Korte to discuss his life as a former covert stutterer. After four years of co-hosting StutterTalk, Peter tells his story today.
PETER REITZES, MA CCC-SLP (pictured left on his son’s first birthday) is a person who stutters and a New York State licensed, ASHA Certified, Speech-Language Pathologist working in the schools and in private practice. During this episode Joel asks Peter about his life as a former covert stutterer. Peter discusses the awkwardness and challenges of being able to hide and conceal stuttering from a young age until he was 23 years old. Mr. Reitzes discusses why and how he decided to face stuttering openly.
