Gaining Confidence with the Stuttering Foundation (350)

Stuttering Foundation presenters Dr. Joseph Donaher and Vivian Sisskin and workshop participants join Peter Reitzes to discuss the Foundation’s weeklong workshop for speech-language pathologists, Treating Children and Adolescents Who Stutter, held this past week in Philadelphia.

Presenters Donaher and Sisskin are joined by workshop participants Beth Brant, Gail Dunn and Amanda Wells. Participants discuss the confidence, knowledge and skills they gained. Participants also discuss their great appreciation for the Foundation’s focus on current research and evidence and their problem solving approach to individualized speech therapy.

JOSEPH DONAHER, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, coordinates the Stuttering Program at the Center for Childhood Communication at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, is a Board Recognized Specialist in Fluency Disorders and is the presenter in the Stuttering Foundation’s new film titled ADHD & Children Who Stutter.

VIVIAN SISSKIN, M.S., CCC-SLP, is an instructor and clinical supervisor in the department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at the University of Maryland and a Board Recognized Specialist in Fluency Disorders.
