Gary Rentschler, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is interviewed by Peter Reitzes and Eric Jackson about the emotions of stuttering and how speech-language pathologists focus on these emotions during therapy. Dr. Rentschler is the Director of the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Duquesne University.

Gary J. Rentschler joins Peter Reitzes to discuss stuttering, the Tudor Study (sometimes referred to as the “Monster Study”) and Wendell Johnson and Mary Tudor.
Dr. Gary Rentschler, Ph.D. CCC-SLP is a Board-Recognized Specialist in Fluency Disorders and serves as Clinic Director at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, where he also directs the Stuttering Therapy specialty clinic. His interests lie in the psychodynamic aspects inherent in treating stuttering. Gary teaches graduate courses in stuttering, professional ethics and legal issues in speech pathology. He has been recognized as Speech Pathologist of the Year by the National Stuttering Association.
