TARO ALEXANDER is a person who stutters, a professional actor and Founder and Artistic Director of the Our Time Theatre Company in New York City – “An artistic home for young people who stutter.” Taro also founded Camp Our Time – an annual summer camp for young people who stutter and their siblings and friends between the ages of 8-18. In 2002 Taro was honored by the National Council on Communicative Disorders at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., where he received the Charles Van Riper Award.
